About · Captain RJ Aerial

I'm Ryan. I fly drones over the Inland Northwest.

I'm a Part 107–certified pilot based in Spokane Valley. I fly for the people around me — farmers, coaches, small businesses, and neighbors who want honest aerial work from someone local they can actually talk to. No agency, no runaround. Just me, my drone, and a real eye for this place.

Why I fly

It started with the river.

The first time I sent a drone out over the Spokane River at golden hour, I was hooked — and not by the gear. It was the perspective. Suddenly I could see the shape of a place I thought I already knew: the bend of the water, the seams between fields, the way light falls across the valley right before dusk.

I got my Part 107 because I wanted to do this for real — safely, legally, and well. Now I fly for people who love this corner of Washington as much as I do, and who want to see their land, their work, or their big day from a few hundred feet up.

A bit about me

The honest part.

Here's something I'll just say plainly: I'm autistic. For me, that means I notice things other people miss, I care about getting the details exactly right, and when I tell you I'll be there at 7 a.m. with charged batteries and a flight plan, I mean it. It's part of why I'm good at this work — steady hands, a clear head, and a real respect for doing things the right way.

It's not the headline. The work is. But it's part of who you're hiring, and I'd rather you hear it from me.
